Name: Ukwapu Chrysanthus UNDIANDEYE
He was born to the Family of Undiandeyeand InyieyeUgeh of BediaVillage, Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State. He had his primary education in three schools, namely, the Obudu Cattle Ranch Primary School,Obudu; the Baptist Primary School; Ashanti Army Barrack;Apapa Lagos and central primary school,Ohong, Obudu. He proceeded to the Government Secondary school, Obudu where he had the West African School Certificate. Thereafter, he attended the Science School, Uyoin the present Akwa-Ibom State and Mary Knoll College, Okuku-Ogoja (now in Yala Local Government Area for his higher school certificate.

He taught for a year in the Girls Secondary School, Obudu before proceeding to the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State where he obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in agricultural extension in 1979, 1982 and 1988 respectively.

Thereafter, he worked briefly in the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Ibadan and the former University of Cross River State, Okuku Campus before joining the services of the University of Maiduguri, Borno State in 1993 as Lecturer 1. He was promoted to the rank of professor in 2007.

Professor Undiandeye enjoyed scholarship awards throughout his secondary school, higher school and his B.Sc, M.Sc&Ph.Dprogrammes. He won the John F. Kennedy Essay competition during his higher school studies. He has taught virtually all courses in agricultural extension at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has supervised over twenty (20) M.Sc. projects and six (6) Ph. D theses.

Professor Undiandeye has had numerous academic and administrative responsibilities and leadership. He was a member of the National agricultural Research strategic plan, North –East Zone (1995-1997); member National Agricultural Research Projects, North-East Zone (1995-2001). He was acting Head, Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, Cross River State University, Okuku Campus; Editor-in-Chief, Adamawa State University Journal of Agriculture; Associate Editor, Annals of Borno; Coordinator, Faculty of Agriculture Occasional Publication series, University of Maiduguri; External Examiner in several Universities including Bayero University, Kano, AbubakaTafawaBalewa, University, Bauchi, Adamawa State University Mubi and Federal University of Technology, Owerri. Professor Undiandeye has over 55 publications in pair-review journals (both nationally and internationally) and chapters in books and has co-authored three (3) books and two (2)monographs. He has also attended over 20 learned conferences.

He is a homely man and married with six children. He is a devout Roman Catholic and is a member of the knights of St. Mulumba (KSM) where he has had numerous positions of responsibility. He is currently the head of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology and the Manager of the University of Calabar Agro-Allied industries Ltd.
